Council approves committee appointments and minutes, and several routine agenda items

At the Sept. 17 meeting the Stafford City Council approved several appointments to citizen committees and adopted minutes from recent meetings.
Appointments: Council approved members for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration committee (multiple applicants), appointed Kenneth Grant to the Juneteenth committee, and approved Irene Lozano to the drainage/flood mitigation and subsidence committee (at-large). The council also approved minutes for the Aug. 20 regular meeting and special/regular meetings in early September.
These appointments were made by motion, second and voice votes; the transcript records affirmative votes but no roll-call tallies. The council also handled consent-agenda business and made a number of administrative adjustments; no ordinance adoptions or contracts were approved as part of the items recorded in the public transcript for these agenda entries.
