Owsley County earns StormReady certification from National Weather Service

County staff arranged a photo opportunity at the meeting.
County participants praised the local emergency management program during the presentation. The certificate and the remarks focused on communication and training steps the county completed to achieve StormReady status. The presentation did not include any formal vote or budget action tied to the certification.
County officials said the certification will remain in force for four years and that the physical sign will be delivered at a later date when available.
