Centennial Middle School introduces Ally Marks as new principal

Superintendent Owens introduced Ally Marks as the new principal of Centennial Middle School during the board's Sept. 10 meeting. Marks addressed the board and community and said she feels she is in the right place at the right time. She described the first week of school as grounding and said she is "so excited to be here" and grateful for the opportunity to serve Centennial students and families.
Board members and staff welcomed Marks and there were no formal actions associated with the introduction.
Marks' biographical details presented at the meeting included a BA in English from Portland State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College and a principal license from Portland State University. The announcement noted Marks previously served as assistant principal at Gordon Russell Middle School in the Gresham-Barlow School District and as a secondary instructional coach in the Park Rose School District.
