Planning commission approves minutes and three permit items; meeting closes unanimously

The Fountain Green City Planning Commission on an September 2025 evening approved the minutes from its Aug. 14, 2025 meeting and approved several permit items before adjourning by unanimous voice vote.

The commission first approved the Aug. 14, 2025 minutes after a motion and second; the motion was recorded as made by Roger and seconded by Jim. Later in the meeting the commission approved a building permit application for Valley Home and Land (applicant Braden Ellsworth) for property at West 300 North; the motion was made and seconded (recorded as moved by an identified commissioner and seconded by Matt) and passed by voice vote. The commission also recorded a motion to approve an item identified as “Cameron’s Breeze,” which Jim seconded; that motion passed by voice vote. The meeting was then adjourned on a motion from Roger, seconded by Matt, and the vote was unanimous.

Several other items were discussed but not decided during the meeting, including a proposed shop/auxiliary building for which applicants had not provided full building plans and a request to defer action. Commissioners also discussed zoning topics including lot-split/subdivision procedures, short-term rental application templates, and residential setback standards; those items were continued for further action or follow-up assignments.
