The Walnut Creek City Council unanimously approved its consent calendar Sept. 16, including the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) related to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) spending. The council approved items a through e and asked staff to clarify certain statistics in the CAPER before the city forwards the report to HUD.
During public comment, resident Jan Warren raised questions about the CAPER's references to Contra Costa County homelessness figures and asked whether some tables that appeared to reflect countywide results actually referred to Walnut Creek only. The council thanked Warren for the careful reading and directed staff to review and clarify the report’s homeless‑count and demographic tables.
A roll call vote on the consent calendar recorded ayes from Council Member Silva, Council Member Deveney, Council Member Francois and Mayor Pro Tem Wilk. No dissents were recorded.
