Public Defender IT line
Commissioners discussed a $7,500 Public Defender data-processing request. The public defender had already purchased laptops earlier in 2024 (claims documented in the transcript) but had budgeted $7,500 for 2025. The commission recorded informal support for moving the Public Defender’s allotted IT line into the central IT budget so that future hardware would be procured and tracked by central IT. The transcript shows a consensus (three commissioners said they favored the change) though no formal roll-call vote was recorded.
