DeFort also advised potential buyers to consult an attorney about the property and the statutory distribution of sale proceeds.
The auction began with a published starting bid of $531.86 for the parcel shown on the meeting screen. Multiple in-room bidders competed in a rapid sequence of offers, escalating from the low hundreds into four figures.
