Valley County signs EDPROS fiscal year 2026 contract for $35,000

Valley County Commissioners on Sept. 11 approved the fiscal year 2026 EDPROS contract in the amount of $35,000 and directed the county to execute the agreement so the Department of Commerce award could be processed.
Lindsay Harris, executive director for EDPROS, joined remotely and told the board the Department of Commerce contract required execution by the county before the Department’s deadline. Harris said EDPROS received an additional $5,000 this year compared with prior awards and that the draft work plan required by the Department had been provided to the county.
Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to approve the EDPROS grant award contract for $35,000; a voice vote of "Aye" approved the item. County staff thanked EDPROS for the partnership and noted the EDPROS organization will return with a fuller update at the board’s next scheduled meeting.
Why it matters: The contract secures state Department of Commerce funds for EDPROS programming in fiscal year 2026. The county is the fiscal agent for the award and must execute the contract and submit the associated work plan.
