Granbury council enacts economic development authorizations and easement negotiations after closed session

Following a closed executive session, the Granbury City Council returned to open session and approved three separate motions related to economic development and infrastructure.
First, the council authorized the city manager and/or designees to meet with the Hood County Commissioners Court to "discuss and advance" the city’s economic development model and associated policies; the motion passed 6-0. Second, the council authorized the city manager to execute a development agreement with HLAS Granbury LLC; the motion carried unanimously. Third, the council authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute necessary easements for the Highway 377 breakout project; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Rodriguez and approved 6-0.
The mayor stated the council had met in executive session under provisions of the Texas Government Code, including consultation on pending or contemplated litigation and deliberation regarding real property and economic development negotiations. The public record, as read at reconvening, stated there was no action taken during the closed session; each of the three authorizations was taken in open session after reconvening.
