The Granbury Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 8 approved a replat requested by Dirk Creasy to divide Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 of Valley View Estates (712 East Moore Street) into three single-family residential lots. The site totals 1.826 acres; proposed lot sizes are 0.744 acres (Lot 1R), 0.576 acres (Lot 1R-1), and 0.483 acres (Lot 2R).
City staff said notices were mailed to property owners within 200 feet and published as required; staff recommended approval and reported no letters for or against the replat. A member of the commission asked how the increase in the number of lots interacts with an existing moratorium. Staff replied that a moratorium waiver agreement in this case allows the platting to proceed, but that no building permits would be issued until the moratorium conditions are lifted. Staff also said sewer taps have been allocated such that one of the three resulting lots will not have service until March 2026, while another existing house on the block and one previously plotted lot already have service allocated.
Commissioner Hallman moved to approve the replat as presented; Commissioner Hayes seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
