Council members favored community engagement elements and suggested the town explore grant options including the Utah Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts for rural-community projects. Concerns raised included container placement relative to future playground and school development, wind and sun exposure on container surfaces, durability and long‑term maintenance, and whether another nearby site (old school property or court backdrops) might be a better location.
Staff said the container is difficult and costly to move and that community complaints about its appearance predated the proposals. The council asked staff to investigate grants, local funding and possible community fundraising and to return with cost estimates and placement recommendations before committing town funds.
