ConVal CTE director outlines programs, funding and effects of recent SB 99 on regional seats

Jen Kiley, director of the Region 14 Applied Technology Center, told the Contoocook Valley School District (ConVal) school board that CTE serves students from ConVal and two neighboring districts and provides industry-recognized credentials, postsecondary credits and work-based learning opportunities.
Kiley said the center currently offers nine CTE programs and that ConVal students also attend programs such as cosmetology, culinary arts, EMT and health science at other regional centers. "CTE is preparing students for careers they are going to have after high school," Kiley said during her presentation.
