Council approves special election and annexation action for CFD 2016-3; one ballot recorded in favor

At a public hearing the Corona City Council considered annexation No. 42 into Community Facilities District (CFD) No. 2016-3 (Maintenance Services) and asked the city clerk whether notice and ballots had been processed.
City Clerk Miss Edwards told the council that the notices were published and mailed and that no written protests had been received. She said there were no registered voters within the area and that property owners had agreed to hold a special election on Sept. 17, 2025.
A council member moved and the council voted to approve Resolution No. 2025-095 (covering the special election/special taxes) and Resolution No. 2025-096 (subsequent authorization). Miss Edwards reported she received one ballot and that "all votes are cast in favor of levying the special taxes." The council then voted to adopt the resolutions.
The council did not receive public testimony during the hearing. The action authorizes the special election described in the resolutions and implements the annexation procedure under the CFD's established notice-and-ballot process.
