Roselle Park board authorizes study of 510 Chestnut and advances long-range facilities planning

The Roselle Park Board of Education voted to authorize steps to study a possible disposition of district property at 510 Chestnut Street and continued work on a new long‑range facilities plan at its public meeting on Sept. 23, 2025.

Board President Dr. Brittany Kirkland said the vote authorizes the district to perform due diligence — appraisals and related analysis — to determine whether the property should be included in the district’s next long‑range facilities plan. The motion, introduced from the floor as a hand‑carried resolution, passed by roll call with a majority of members voting in favor.
