Fiscal Court authorizes judge to negotiate purchase of conservation property after executive session

County staff said no immediate action on a final purchase price was taken publicly; vetting and negotiation will continue as allowed under the statutory exception for property-acquisition confidentiality.
Judge Vogel read the statutory basis for the executive session, and the court identified the officials and staff who would attend the closed session. No additional public details about the parcel were disclosed at the meeting because public discussion might affect the property’s value, the judge said.
The court’s authorization does not finalize any purchase; a future public ratification vote will be required if the judge reaches a purchase agreement.
