Fiscal Court confirms police hires, school resource officer, tech producer and library appointment

Oldham County Fiscal Court approved several personnel actions at its Sept. 16 meeting, including law-enforcement hires, a technology-producer contract, a resignation and a library board appointment.
The court approved hiring Aaron Thornton as a patrol officer (five-year lateral, step 4) and approved Sherry Bauer as a new school resource officer under a five-year lateral step contract; both hires become effective Sept. 22. The court also approved hiring Tom Rohr as a technology producer at $34 per hour, effective Oct. 6; Rohr was noted as currently working under contract.
The court acknowledged a resignation from Isabelle Eisenhart (effective Sept. 4) and confirmed the appointment of Laurie Ann Roberts to the Oldham County Library Board of Trustees for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2029. Judge David Vogel praised outgoing board chair Amanda Ross for eight years of service.
All personnel motions were approved by voice votes recorded during the Sept. 16 session.
