The Ishpeming City Council unanimously adopted an amendment to Policy No. 408, the city’s nondiscrimination policy required for its Title VI plan. The council recorded that the only change in the policy text was the update of the named official.
A staff member explained the amendment was required by the Title VI plan and that the only substantive edit was replacing the previous city manager’s name with the current person identified in the policy. The presenter said, “Yes. It's Randy's name. This is just required for our title 6 plan that we have, and this policy has to be part of the title 6 plan, and you have to name a person.”
A council member moved to adopt the amended policy; the motion passed by voice vote. The transcript does not record a roll‑call tally. The amended policy will be included in the city’s Title VI documentation as required.
