The URA reported that Partnership for Southern Equities (PSE), its property management partner for work at the Park at Fort Gillum, is nearing the end of its contract and has produced a final report.
Staff said PSE has drafted a letter to residents and an accompanying FAQ explaining transition details — topics the board repeatedly asked be addressed, including lease continuity and rent payments. Staff proposed issuing the letter on URA stationery and asked the board for feedback. The URA chair asked that the signature on the letter be the Urban Redevelopment Agency rather than an individual, to avoid confusion if leadership changes.
Staff said a proposed community meet-and-greet with a potential new property manager is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 18; staff will provide final details when confirmed. Board members were asked to review the draft letter and provide comments; agency counsel was asked to review the letter for legal and clarity questions and to advise on references to any neighborhood association language in the draft.
Staff said the final PSE report and the draft resident materials will be shared with the board; the URA will schedule an executive-session discussion on related contract and transition issues.
