Revere Cultural Council opens grant cycle, urges applicants to meet Oct. 16 deadline
Summary
At its September meeting the Revere Cultural Council reviewed its 2025–26 grant schedule, outreach plans and review process, emphasizing an Oct. 16 application deadline, a Nov. 13 project-selection meeting and a reimbursement-only funding model.
The Revere Cultural Council reviewed its 2025–26 grant cycle and outreach plan at its September meeting, announcing that applications opened Sept. 2 and that the application deadline is Oct. 16.
The council’s review schedule calls for an initial project-selection meeting on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers and a later meeting in December to determine award amounts; the council must submit a final report on Jan. 16, 2026, under the Mass Cultural Council grant cycle, members said.
“The applications for the grants, have opened on September 2,” Rocky Graziano, chair of the Revere Cultural Council, said as the council outlined dates and the review timetable. Graziano told potential applicants to provide as much detail as possible in proposals and to attend the November meeting if they want to answer questions in person.
The council emphasized that Revere’s panel operates as a reimbursement council: grantees must complete and pay for projects up front and then submit documentation for reimbursement. “We are reimbursement, council,” Graziano said. He added the council can discuss whether to change that approach in a future cycle.
