Director of Public Works Jeff Harkins explained the amendment covers routine environmental monitoring, testing and required state reporting to the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality tied to landfill operations. Harkins said the work results in two reports each year and includes a contingency of roughly $10,000 for unanticipated surveying or additional DEQ requirements; the total amendment amount is $40,970 and staff said it is included in the sanitation budget for the year.
A motion to approve the amendment was made and seconded; the council voted to approve the contract amendment during the meeting.
Outcome: Amendment No. 5 to the agreement with Inberg Miller Engineers was approved; work will proceed under the existing professional‑services contract and budgeted sanitation funds.
