The Quincy Zoning Board of Appeals continued a variance hearing for 260 Bellevue Road on Sept. 9, 2025, after the applicant indicated updated plans would be filed.
Christopher Cowell applied for a variance to demolish an existing 1.5‑story single‑family dwelling to the foundation and replace it with a two‑story single‑family dwelling at 260 Bellevue Road. At the hearing the applicant said a “new set of plans” would be submitted within two weeks; the board voted to continue the matter to Nov. 18 to allow staff and board members to review those revisions.
The continuance was taken by voice vote; the record reflects a motion to continue and a second, and the chair announced the Nov. 18 date. The applicant confirmed the revised plans would be submitted through the building department so the board and staff could examine design changes before the next hearing.
No formal decision or conditions were issued at the Sept. 9 meeting. The item will return to the board on Nov. 18 with the updated plan set and any additional materials the applicant provides.
