The Quincy City Council approved several routine items during its Sept. 15 session, including acceptance of gifts and approval of prior meeting minutes.
Gifts: The council accepted two charitable gifts: $600 (Agenda item 2025-110) and $1,000 from Capital Waste (Agenda item 2025-111). Both gifts were approved by roll-call votes. For the $600 gift the clerk recorded eight affirmative votes; for the $1,000 gift the clerk also recorded eight affirmative votes.
Minutes: The council approved the previous meeting minutes by voice vote; the clerk announced the motion carried after those present voted “Aye.”
Other routine matters included scheduling the next regularly scheduled council meeting for Monday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m., and referring two traffic and utility requests to the appropriate committees as listed in the clerk’s communications.
These items were handled without extended debate and were recorded in the meeting minutes.
