The City of Quincy Board of License Commissioners approved two special one-day all‑alcohol permits for the Ward 2 Civic Association’s fall Sundays-in-the-park events: Oct. 5 at 4 Riverfield and Oct. 12 at Faxon Park. Both events are scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. and will include food trucks, live music and children’s attractions.
Ward 2’s presenter (identified in the meeting as the Ward 2 councilor) described the events as the third year of the fall field days and said organizers scheduled the Sundays to avoid conflicts with Patriots games. “These are noon to 4, Sunday, October 5 at 4 River … Sunday, October 12 at Faxon Park,” the councilor said, and outlined planned attractions including a blow-up slide, QPD and QFD touch-a-truck exhibits, solo singers, two food trucks per day, an ice cream truck, and face painting.
The councilor named the proposed alcohol provider as Drifters Kitchen and Bar (owners Will Folaro and Andrew Moshe) and listed the proposed food trucks as Lunchbox Concessions, South Shore Taco Guy, Black Street Barbecue, Time Traveling and Smiles by the Mile. The councilor said vendors’ certificates appeared up to date but offered to double-check.
A board member moved to approve the two special use permits for all alcohol; another board member seconded and the board approved the requests by voice vote. The meeting record includes no roll-call vote tally or additional conditions announced during the hearing.
