Meridian council adopts solid-waste rate schedule and remands subdivision; several procedural votes approved

The Meridian City Council took several formal actions at its Sept. 16 meetings. Resolution 25-2537: The council approved Resolution 25-2537, adopting the fiscal year 2026 rate schedule for solid-waste collection and disposal services and authorizing the Finance Department to collect the fees. The motion passed on a roll-call vote; the clerk recorded ayes and no recorded nays and the resolution was adopted.
Farrington Heights subdivision (H-2025-0016): The council closed the public hearing on Farrington Heights and remanded the application to the Planning and Zoning Commission at the applicant's request so the applicant could revise the plat to address neighbors' concerns. The remand motion carried on a roll-call vote with all members present recorded as voting in favor.
Latitude 43 subdivision (H-2024-0059): The council granted a continuance at the applicant's request to Oct. 14 to allow additional work on traffic circulation issues; the continuance was approved by voice vote.
Other procedural actions: The council adopted the published agenda and approved the consent agenda earlier in the work session by voice vote. The council also voted to go into executive session under Idaho Code 74-206(1)(d) and later voted to exit; both motions carried (roll-call and voice votes respectively). The meeting adjournment was approved by voice vote.
No contested final land-use approvals were finalized at the September 16 meeting; the substantive land-use items will return to the council after additional review or at the continued hearing dates.
