The Quincy City Board of License Commissioners on Sept. 16 approved amendments to the alcohol-restaurant license for RKOQ Inc., doing business as Royal Hot Pot Sushi KBBQ, at 227 Parkin Way to reflect changes in manager of record, stock interest, and corporate officers and directors.
Attorney Joseph Wang of Ropes & Gray (Rich May P.C. as stated in the transcript) presented the request on behalf of the applicant. Wang described the filing as an internal reorganization and said the company seeks to reinstate Sinyu Lau as manager of record at the location; he said Lau previously held the manager position for about a decade and the change corrects who will be at the location.
Wang said the amendments also remove a previously listed individual from ownership, officer and director roles so that she will not be a stockholder, officer or director. He described the request as an administrative update to reflect who will actually operate the restaurant at this site.
A board member moved to approve the requested changes; another member seconded. The chair called for the vote; the board recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed. The transcript records no roll-call vote totals or abstentions.
