The permit covers activity on a 16.62-acre parcel; the applicants said the actual excavation footprint will be smaller and that the finished pond will be roughly 8 acres, expanded from an existing 2.5-acre lake. County staff told the board the applicants had filed materials in proper form for the public hearing.
