She told the briefing that the 2024 median income for a two-person household in Broomfield was about $99,300 and that roughly 43% of renters are cost-burdened, defined as spending more than 30% of income on housing. Tessier gave a 2024 median monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment at $2,074 and said that an annual income of roughly $82,960 — about 84% of area median income (AMI) — is required to afford that rent as presented.
