Sheriff’s office seeks extension to use federal/DEMA funds for digital-forensics equipment

The briefing noted that the equipment helps county investigators and assists the county attorney’s office in preparing cases.
The board was told the purchase is funded in part by federal and state grant sources and that the extension would allow the county to complete procurement and deployment. No formal vote was recorded during the work session; staff said they will return with contract-extension paperwork as required.
