The Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 17 adopted resolution Fiscal Year 20 26‑002, which updates the commission's recommended capital improvement project (CIP) ranking for FY2026. The motion passed by unanimous voice/roll call.
Staff said the action had been postponed at last month's meeting to allow absent commissioners to review the list. At this meeting the commission shifted one project—project number 15—into position number 9; all other projects moved down to accommodate the change. A commissioner noted that the revised order appeared beneficial for the projects as listed.
After brief discussion the commission voted by roll call; Mr. Neff, Mr. Degan, Mr. Cleary and Mr. Mangini recorded yes votes and the motion passed. The resolution will be forwarded to the borough assembly as the commission's recommendation for capital project priorities.
