Votes at a glance: Iowa County supervisors set budget-hearing date, approve resignation, flag posting and gateway support

At its meeting, the Iowa County Board of Supervisors recorded several motions and votes on administrative items and public processes.

Public hearing for FY26 budget amendment: The board moved and approved a motion to set a public hearing on FY26 budget amendment No. 1 for Oct. 3, 2025, at 9:45 a.m. The motion passed; the transcript records general assent but does not list a roll-call tally or named votes.

Resignation accepted: Supervisors approved the resignation of a staff member identified in the transcript as Vicky. The motion to accept the resignation was moved and seconded and recorded as approved; the transcript does not provide a full roll-call vote.

County flag design: The board approved posting a county flag design to the Iowa County website after a motion and second. The motion passed on an affirmative voice vote.

Gateway Park support letter: The board approved a motion to provide a letter of support for the Gateway Park grant application (see separate article). The motion passed; the transcript records at least one supervisor saying “nay” during the vote count but does not provide a full roll-call tally in the record.
