Supervisors approve 30x50 storage building for emergency management on county land

The Wright County Board of Supervisors approved Sept. 15 a request from Emergency Management to erect a 30-by-50-foot storage building on county-owned property south of the clearing tower.
Jerica Beecher, Wright County Emergency Management director, discussed the county’s need for a shed to store emergency equipment and said her department would seek any necessary budget adjustments. The board’s motion authorized the emergency management office to place a 30-foot-by-50-foot building on county-owned property; the motion passed with Ellis recorded as voting “nay.”
The board had previously questioned whether Beecher had a budget plan to accommodate the new structure; Beecher indicated the commission (or appropriate authority) would review and approve the building but that county agreement was required for placement on county property.
