The Castle Rock Board of Adjustment elected Ryan Purcell as chair and Bandimere Jordan as vice chair and approved routine business during a brief Sept. 4 meeting, scheduling a setback-variance hearing for Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
Board members approved the minutes from the previous meeting, then voted 4-0 to elect Purcell chair and Bandimere Jordan vice chair. Staff said the board will consider a setback-variance application at its next meeting on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. The board adjourned the public meeting by unanimous vote.
When asked whether the meeting and agenda had been noticed under the town—s open-meetings requirement, staff member Tammy King replied, "Yes it has." Town council liaison Dietz told the board the council plans to discuss adjusting terms, absence policies and residency expectations for boards and commissions ahead of next May.
The meeting opened at 6 p.m. and covered routine organizational business: roll call, approval of minutes, nominations and votes for leadership positions, a brief town-council update, a staff scheduling notice for a variance case, and adjournment. Board members praised staff work vetting applications; Purcell specifically moved to accept the minutes and later moved to adjourn the meeting.
The board—s next scheduled case is a setback-variance application set for Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.; staff identified that as the only case on the Oct. 2 agenda. The board recorded no public hearings or deliberations on land-use merit during this meeting.
The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn passed 4-0.
