Commission receives requests for limited shuttle/trolley service for two September events

Separately, staff reported a request to provide a limited trolley service on Sept. 27 for a Carthage College homecoming event to bring students downtown and expose them to local businesses. The director said the trolley service would be a limited route for the homecoming event and that there were no rider restrictions; commissioners voted to receive and file that communication as well.
Both items were handled as communications to be received and filed; no formal service-contract approvals or free-service agreements were recorded at the meeting. The director said the items were added to a list of events previously approved; commissioners did not vote to provide free service or finalize operating details during the meeting.
