Finance committee approves ordinance adding Ward 99 to 16th Aldermanic District

The Kenosha Finance Committee approved an ordinance on Sept. 15 to refill and recreate subparagraph 1.01(d)(1) for the Sixteenth Aldermanic District to add Ward 99.
A public hearing was held as part of the committee meeting; Alderman Ruffalo, who said he represents the Sixteenth District, told the committee he supports adding Ward 99. The committee then moved, seconded and approved the ordinance by voice vote.
The measure passed with all members present voting in favor. No public speakers opposed the change during the hearing.
The ordinance was considered during the committee's Sept. 15 meeting; the committee chair called for the vote after the public hearing and the motion carried without recorded dissent.
