Director Caitlin Weiland updated commissioners on the city—s Prop E Commission Streamlining Task Force, which is reviewing appointed boards and commissions and will recommend changes to the mayor and the Board of Supervisors.
Weiland told the commission the task force will publish its recommendations on the Entertainment Commission on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, and will discuss the commission—s recommendations at a public meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 at 1 p.m. in City Hall Room 408. She said the task force—s final report is due Feb. 1, 2026, ahead of the Nov. 2026 ballot. Weiland asked commissioners to review the task force materials and offered contact information for public comments and correspondence.
Weiland noted the Entertainment Commission is one of the appointed bodies that could be modified, combined or eliminated under task-force recommendations and encouraged commissioners to attend the Oct. 1 meeting if they are able.
