Council adopts pipeline-opposition resolution, budget reclassification and several program measures

- Good-cause eviction local law (items 14 and 15): The council approved a friendly amendment to the local law’s definition of “small landlord” to read “a landlord of no more than 1 unit anywhere in the state of New York” and set a public hearing on the revised local law for Oct. 15, 2025. The amendment and the resolution setting the hearing were adopted by voice vote.
