City manager staff explained the mayor’s office reorganization earlier this year converted an executive senior policy advisor role into multiple lower-salary positions and added capacity in the mayor’s office. The mayor selected Q and Q to provide consulting support and staff noted the vendor holds other public-sector contracts, including with Broward County and Miami-Dade institutions.
Because the contract value is above the city manager’s $24,999 procurement authority, the item will be presented to the commission for action at the formal meeting. No commissioners posed questions about the vendor during the workshop; the item remains on the consent/action calendar for the next day.
