Staff presented an update on the Open Space and Trails Management Plan, saying the consultant had incorporated comments collected from the Parks board, the open-space working group and the public. The packet included an Excel spreadsheet cross‑referencing comments, staff responses and edits.
Craig Martin, representing the open-space working group, thanked staff and the consultant but requested three specific corrections before the plan goes to county council: correct page-numbering (page 47 followed by page 46 in the draft), update an open-space definition on the first page 8 to match the current development code, and change language on a policy page so it notes that the parks division should "champion" development-code updates rather than implying the parks division itself will update the county development code.
Staff said they would correct page numbering and review Martin's suggested edits with the consultant and working group prior to forwarding the plan to county council.
