The Heath City Council on Sept. 9 took several procedural votes during its regular meeting.
Consent agenda: The council approved the consent agenda, which included action authorizing the city manager to execute an interlocal agreement with Rockwall Independent School District for school resource officer services for the 2025–26 school year. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Councilman Oman and seconded by Councilwoman Thurgood; the vote was unanimous.
RCAD resolution: Council approved Resolution No. 250909a, authorizing the Rockwall Central Appraisal District to complete the second floor of its office. The motion passed unanimously.
Executive session: The council convened an executive session under Texas Government Code Chapter 551, Subchapter D, to deliberate about deployment of security personnel and devices and Department of Public Safety deployment regarding license plate readers. The council reconvened to open session at 8:28 p.m. and took no action on executive session matters.
Other procedural items: The council announced that the customer service committee update will be moved to the Sept. 23 meeting.
