Leesburg Board of Architectural Review approves multiple COAs, delays greenhouse review

The Board of Architectural Review met Sept. 17 and approved a series of Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) applications for renovations, new construction and outdoor dining in Leesburg.

Key outcomes from the meeting included approvals of rooftop solar at 207 West Market Street (Leesburg Presbyterian Church), a patio expansion for The Dell at Village Market Boulevard, renovation and porch/patio work at 28 North King Street and 204 North King Street, certification to demolish the primary structure at 230 South Street Southeast subject to documentation and conditions, and approvals for three new single‑family houses in the Millstone subdivision (309, 317 and 314 Runnerstone Court). The board deferred review of a proposed rooftop greenhouse and mechanical screening at 208 South King Street to the Oct. 8 work session so the applicant can resolve questions raised by zoning staff.
