Planning commission reviews revisions to Frederick Commerce Center South, including 225,000‑sq‑ft warehouse and forest‑conservation changes

Frederick, Md. — Planning division staff and applicant representatives told the City of Frederick Planning Commission on Sept. 15 that Tremont Pro Company is revising the Frederick Commerce Center South preliminary subdivision plat and preliminary forest conservation plan to create a single Lot 4 and permit a user‑specific warehouse building.

The revisions are intended to allow a single buyer to develop a building tailored to their operations, company representative Joe Whitegrader said: “we are submitting revisions to our preliminary subdivision plan and our preliminary forest conservation plan. These revisions are driven by we've identified a user to come in and purchase a portion of the property and construct a building specific for their uses.”

Because the user needs a stand‑alone parcel and site layout, Tremont proposes consolidating previously planned lots into Lot 4 and relocating some forest conservation planting areas so the new building will not be dependent on other parcels.
