Kim Kuhl, senior services program manager for Bullhead City, described the Senior Campus programs and services during the commission meeting's informational reports.
“Perhaps you're a game player. Well, don't worry. We've got you covered with bingo, pinochle, poker, hand and foot, pass the trash, bunco, Mexican train, and Skippo,” Kuhl said, summarizing recreational offerings. She outlined exercise classes (including Zumba and fall-prevention classes), creative classes (beading, crocheting, quilting, painting), support groups (caregiver support, bereavement, cancer support), and technology and benefits assistance such as veterans benefits and Medicare information.
Kuhl described congregate lunches and Meals on Wheels: lunches are served at 11:30 with the last lunch served at noon; the suggested donation is $3 for people age 60 and older or disabled individuals and $4 for others. The Senior Campus also operates a Meals on Wheels delivery program for homebound seniors and an area where donated durable medical equipment is available for community members.
Kuhl encouraged residents to visit or call for information: the Senior Campus is at 2275 Train Road, Bullhead City, and the phone number provided was (928) 763-0193. She invited interested residents to attend activities and take advantage of services that connect seniors with health, social and benefits resources.
The presentation occurred during the commission's public informational period and did not include votes or policy actions.
