Skagit County held a public hearing Sept. 16, 2025 on a notice of intent to lease about 200 square feet of county-owned property at 45770 Main St. in Concrete to the Concrete Chamber of Commerce. Facilities staff told the Board the chamber has leased the space since February 2009 and the county ran the legally required notices on Aug. 28, Sept. 4 and Sept. 11.
Staff said the facility houses vehicle licensing services and the Concrete visitor information center; the proposed rent is $150 per month and would continue the existing arrangement. No members of the public spoke online or in the hearing room on the lease. Commissioner Browning moved to close the public hearing; a second was recorded and the board closed the hearing by voice vote. Staff said the lease details will return on a future consent agenda for formal action.
