Scott Lowery, Real Estate Services Support Manager, said petitioners Alberto Otero Jimenez and Sharon Otero requested the vacation of portions of alleys adjacent to their properties to deter public use and assemble the land with their parcels. Lowery said the requested vacation leaves a remnant section to the west, and staff excluded a portion along Old Lake Wilson Road from the vacation to preserve land for possible future roadway expansion.
Lowery told the board that all adjacent property owners were contacted and no objections were received; utility providers and county divisions likewise reported no objections. Staff recommended adoption of the resolution to vacate the platted rights-of-way as described in the petition and legal description on file.
The board moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote; the meeting record shows “Aye” and “Motion carries” with no roll-call tally provided in the transcript.
