Dwayne Mingo, director of government affairs for the Prince George's County Association of Realtors, expressed appreciation for inclusion of the association as a stakeholder and described ADUs as "a tool in the toolbox" for addressing housing supply.
Staff noted two concerns in committee review: whether the task force can complete work and submit recommendations by February 28, 2026, and whether the task force should include an aging-community organization as the state model does. Committee members incorporated those concerns in the adopted amendment.
The resolution sets procedures for selection and appointment, assigns duties and administrative support, and sets a time for completion and termination of the temporary task force. The committee record includes a budget and policy fiscal note but does not specify funding amounts in the verbal record; the fiscal note is filed in the council packet.
