The Citizens Independent Transportation Trust held officer elections during its Sept. 17 meeting. Board members cast ballots for chair, first vice chair and second vice chair.
The trust secretary reported that Mary Street received eight votes for chair and Peggy Bell received eight votes for first vice chair. For second vice chair the trust conducted a roll‑call vote after an initial straw ballot did not produce a majority; the board secretary recorded eight affirmative roll‑call votes electing Meg Daley as second vice chair.
Per the trust bylaws, officers assume their posts beginning Oct. 1. The trust director and staff congratulated the newly elected officers and noted the next regular CITT meeting is scheduled for Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center.
