Resident raises safety concerns about parent parking and dropped cones at Glen Edwards crosswalk

She described a temporary, taped sign advising drivers to stay in line and asked that district staff return to moving cones at the end of the school day to open additional parking during after‑school events.
Gutierrez said she spoke with school staff and a nearby officer, and that staff quickly called the police during the incident she described. She asked the district to reinstate the prior practice of moving cones nightly to allow parking for after‑school activities and said a clear “do not block crosswalk” sign would reduce unsafe parking.
Board members did not take immediate action during the meeting; the comment was recorded during the Communications from the Public agenda item.
