County approves resolution to apply for $50,000 OPRD County Opportunity Grant for park master plan

Staff said the current parks plan dates from 2017 and contains deficiencies the update would address. The grant request is for $50,000; the county would provide a $12,500 local match, bringing the total project budget to $62,500. Staff said the award would likely be announced in 2026 and any budgetary impact could be incorporated into the FY2027 budget.
The master-plan update would review three county parks, clarify concession/food-service definitions (staff noted current concession language prevents operating a restaurant), and provide a comprehensive foundation for capital planning and grant applications. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution authorizing the application and signers.
