Commissioner Geyser says he will not seek reappointment after 30 years of service

Commissioner Geyser told the Aurora Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 10 that his term expires at the end of the year and that he will not seek reappointment after about 30 years of public service.
“Yes, my term expires at the end of this year, and after 30 years of public service, some of them full time, on over 70 boards and commissions, I'm not going to reapply,” Commissioner Geyser said during the miscellaneous business portion of the meeting.
Several commissioners responded with personal remarks thanking Geyser for his long service. The chair and other commissioners said they would mark his departure later in the year with an appropriate acknowledgment. No formal action was taken; the remark was made during commissioner comments.
