Commissioner Esteban Millian Orbis (listed in the hearing as Commissioner Millian Orbis) asked the director for background; the director said the work is part of the airportcapital improvement program and will produce studies, design criteria packages and recommendations for improvements to baggage handling and conveyance systems in the North, Central and South terminals.

The engineering team will use a centralized database to track service orders, distribute work equitably to the firms, and ensure assignments match firm expertise, the director said.
